Circus Time Snacks Express opens at Bay City Mall

BAY CITY, MI – Saginaw’s Circus Time Snacks, known for its circus and carnival-inspired dishes like chicken waffle cones and cotton candy burritos, has spread to downtown Bay City.

“The Bay City Mall is our second location, and we are delighted to serve Bay City while also serving the Fashion Square Mall,” said Shirelle Carthan-Dottery, who owns the business with her husband, Daun-Te Dottery Sr. .

Circus Time Snacks Express celebrated its grand opening on October 10 at the Bay City Town Center, 4101 E Wilder Road. Carthan-Dottery said customers were excited to welcome the new business.

“Our goal is to help bring malls back to life with our circus food,” she said. “A lot of people think that shopping malls are disappearing because of online shopping. However, we believe that Circus Time Snacks and Circus Time Snacks Express can bring families and friends together to enjoy nostalgic food while shopping.

Circus Time Snacks opened in 2020 inside the food court at Fashion Square Mall, located at the intersection of Bay Road and Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw Township. Before opening inside the mall, Circus Time Snacks was open for a brief stint in 2018 on Court Street in Saginaw.

Saginaw’s location is known for serving chicken waffle cones, tacos, elephant ears, fried Oreos, cotton candy burritos, corn dogs, pretzels, funnel cakes and more. other circus and carnival dishes. Carthan-Dottery said the new Circus Time Snack Express at Bay City Town Center “is a faster pick-up and departure service” with a similar menu.

Circus Time Snacks locations are open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
